We have updated our service API's to version 4.01. Please update your service calls as soon as possible to utilize these new features.

The WebGIS API's have been updated to version 3.01 to add additional fields and include national parcel data. API users should migrate to these new versions. Pre v2.96 will be disabled in 30 days, 2.96 will be disabled in 90.

The USC WebGIS services will be moving to Texas A&M University in August, 2012. No service interruptions will occur.

The web service API's have been upgraded to version 2.96 to include Census 1990 and 2010 data. Users should migrate their code to use these new versions. New version of the desktop client(s) will be available soon.

All API's and batch processing operations now allow you the option of not storing your transaction details.

We have added an API for programmatically checking how many credits are available in your account.

A new service has been added that associates Census variables with coordinate data

The geocoding API has been upgraded to 2.7.

The geocoding API now returns Census 2000 variables and additional address fields.

The API's for geocoding and parsing have been updated to support PO Boxes and ZIP+5's. Please update your code if you are using these API's.

Hung batch processes will be kick-started after 5 minutes.

The batch database processing errors related to process deadlocks and thread aborts have been resolved.

Another HTTP API has been added for the geocoder to allow users to specify usage of advanced options

The problem that was causing the batch processing service pages to crash upon loading has been resolved.

A credit system has been implemented to keep track of service transactions and allow commercial users to join as partners or purchase transactions

Transaction credits can now be purchased online

Another address parsing and normalization API has been added that allows output format specification

The address parsing and normalization service is available as a web service

User uploaded databases will be deleted automatically after 30 days.

The issues that were causing OutOfMemoryException's to be thrown when attempting to download large databases have been resolved.

The geocoder and reference data sources have been upgraded to support our alpha implementation of Soundex matching. While the index is being built, geocoding will be slow.

The polygon tracing and geocode correction interactive services have been upgraded to support all database formats that the rest of the site supports (access, access 2007, csv, and text delimited).

The issues that have been plaguing the static address validation service have been resolved.

The new database upload procedure adds support for new data formats including Microsoft Office 2007, CSV, and text delimited files.

An address processing service has been added to the list of free services provided by USC WebGIS offering the ability to parse, normalize, and standardize a postal address.
