These instructions are for ArcMap 10.4 and may differ slightly if you are using a different version.
- Installation:
- Make sure the files were extracted to C:\TAMUEsriToolBox\ folder, if not move them.
- Open ArcMap if not already open.
- Open the ArcToolbox - Geoprocessing>ArcToolbox
- Right click anywhere on an open white space and click Add Toolbox...
- If you have not already done so, click the folder with a + symbol to add a new folder connection to C:\TAMUEsriToolBox.
- In the Add Toolbox window click TAMU Geocoding Tools.tbx and
click Open.
- You should now see the TAMU Geocoding Tools toolbox in the ArcToolbox.
- Right click anywhere on an open white space and click Save Settings>To Default.
- Your tool is now ready to use, simply double click TAMU Geocoder and off you go.
- If you need an api key please register here https://geoservices.tamu.edu/Signup/ .
- Any errors related to the 'requests' library.
- Open the python ArcGis folder, usually located here: C:\Python27\ArcGIS10.1\Lib\site-packages.
- Copy the entire 'requests' folder included in the ToolBox folder into the site-packages folder.
- Restart ArcMap and the requests errors should go away.
